About

ezEML+MOTHER is based on the Environmental Data Initiatives‘s ezEML online tool for creating metadata in the Ecological Metadata Language (EML) to describe data provenance.

Using EML’s additional metadata support, ezEML+MOTHER includes metadata for describing ovary histology slides and the donor animal, given by MOTHER’s XSD specification. The tool guides the user through the various content to create the metadata, which the user submits to MOTHER for curation, along with the uploaded digital histology image.

The MOTHER team extends their thanks to the ezEML team for their assistance.
